Velogames Spain 2021 runs a detailed scoring system, designed to accurately rate each rider's achievements during each stage and in the final standings.
Points are scored at the end of each stage and also for the final overall positions in the main rider classification at the end of the race.
DAILY POINTS FOR STAGE ONE (OPENING TIME TRIAL)
Velogames Spain 2021 begins with a short individual time trial stage and this opening stage has a truncated scoring system that only includes stage result in the points distributed. No points are awarded for overall classification positions.

Breakaway Points
Breakaway points are awarded to riders who are in the lead break at 50% distance through the stage. A breakaway is defined as a group of 30 riders or less, with a measurable gap of five seconds to any groups behind them.
